How we measure

Which tools
We check ChatGPT and Gemini. We ask through each company’s official API with web search turned on (ChatGPT’s web search tool, Gemini’s Google Search grounding), so the answers can draw on the live web the way the apps do. The apps you use can still answer a little differently, so we label results as sampled.
Your Google profile is checked by a person, by hand, from your public Google listing. We don’t need your login.
The questions
The free snapshot uses 6 questions written the way families ask, always with your city. For example:
- best in-home care for my elderly mom in Glendale
- dementia home care agency Glendale
- in-home caregivers near Montrose, Glendale
- home care to help mom after the hospital in Glendale
- companion care for a parent living alone in Glendale
- non-medical home care in North Glendale
Once set, we keep the questions the same, so one month can be compared with the next.
How many times
We ask each question 5 times in each tool. For the snapshot that’s 30 answers per tool, 60 in total.
Dates
Every report states the date we ran the scan. AI answers can change after that date.
How we count
- Named: your agency appears by name in the answer, for example “Named in 4 of 30 answers.”
- Other agencies named: the agencies AI named instead, counted the same way.
- Directories: senior care directories AI pointed families to by name, and whether you’re listed there.
- Sources cited: websites AI linked to, for example “cited in 14 of 60 answers,” and whether you’re listed there.
We show plain fractions. No made-up scores, no “rank.” An answer can name more than one agency, so percentages can add up to more than 100%.
Why answers vary
Ask an AI tool the same question twice and you can get two different answers. That’s why we ask each question 5 times and count how often you’re named, not whether you showed up once.
Every month
On the monthly plan we re-run the same set each month: 8 questions, 5 times each, in ChatGPT and Gemini (80 answers). We recheck your Google profile, and we compare against last month in your monthly report.
What we don’t do
- We don’t guarantee what any AI tool will say.
- We don’t promise rankings or “#1 in ChatGPT.”
- We never write or post fake reviews.
- We don’t make changes without your OK.
